Coconut and Chocolate Flan

Ingredients

1 can of Evaporated milk

1 can of Coconut cream

1 can of Sweetened condensed milk

1 cup of Melted chocolate

3 Eggs

1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence

1 cup of Sugar

½ cup of Water

Preparation

Step 1 : In a saucepan, cook the sugar and water, heating them over medium heat until a golden liquid caramel forms.

Step 2 : Next, quickly pour the caramel into the bottom of a mold.

Step 3 : Blend the remaining ingredients and pour them into the mold with the caramel.

Step 4 : Cover the mold with plastic wrap and cook in a water bath (bain-marie) for 45 minutes over low heat.

Step 5 : To check if the flan is properly cooked, gently move it and observe that its consistency is similar to that of gelatin.

Step 6 : Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool in the same mold.

Step 7 : If it’s still a bit raw, cook for a few more minutes and then allow to cool.

Step 8 : Once well cooled, unmold the flan and serve.
